Licensed Social Worker
Nicole Mendicino is a Licensed Social Worker in the states of New Jersey and New York. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rider University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University.
Nicole’s trainings include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and the Nurtured Heart Approach. She has worked in various therapeutic settings including outpatient, residential, and in-home implementing individual, group, and family counseling techniques. Nicole has spent the majority of her career working with preteens, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, familial conflicts, anger management, parenting, and crisis de-escalation.
Nicole maintains an eclectic therapeutic approach and believes in the importance of being attuned to the individual needs of each person. Her work emphasizes collaboration, as she is determined to help people feel as though they are supported. Thus, Nicole presents a warm therapeutic environment that is considerate and non-judgmental. She believes that a crucial part of treatment is to guide others in feeling motivated and hopeful about their lives. Nicole’s education, training, experience, and compassion have enabled her to do just that!
